PeelingFlesh, an American death metal band, was formed in 2021 in Oklahoma, combining talents from Oklahoma City and Tulsa. They quickly established a blend of brutal death metal with hardcore and hip-hop influences, coining their style as 'Slamming Gangster Groove.' In their debut year, they released several EPs, including 'Winter Mixtape Promo,' 'Slamaholics,' a split release 'Deformed Through Gluttony,' and 'Bathtub Execution,' showcasing their distinct musical direction and raw energy.

By 2023, PeelingFlesh had gained momentum and recognition within the death metal community, performing at notable events such as the Oklahoma Death Fest alongside established acts like Dying Fetus and Cattle Decapitation. During this period, the band released 'PF Radio' and 'Slamaholics Vol. 2,' further cementing their presence in the metal scene and expanding their discography with high-energy tracks that emphasize their unique fusion of genres.

The year 2024 marked a significant milestone for PeelingFlesh with the release of their debut full-length album, 'The G Code,' in September. This album featured collaborations with prominent artists from the metal scene, including members from Despised Icon and Disgorge. The sound was a bold statement of their signature slamming brutal death metal intertwined with gangster groove elements. Subsequently, PeelingFlesh joined major tours such as the 'Death and Decay' North American tour with bands like Whitechapel and Revocation. They also released 'Brainflesh,' a split album, and a compilation titled '3 Year Peeling Spree,' which highlighted their rapid evolution and growing influence in the death metal genre.

In 2025, PeelingFlesh experienced a lineup change, with bassist Austin Hirom departing after four years of contribution. Despite this shift, the band continued their creative output, releasing 'PF Radio 2,' an EP that maintained their signature sound and showcased their resilience. Their ongoing releases and active participation in the metal community demonstrate their commitment to innovation within the slamming brutal death metal subgenre while continuing to build a dedicated fan base.
