2009-2010

Formation and Naming of the Band

Imminence was formed in 2009 in Trelleborg, Sweden, by vocalist Eddie Berg and rhythm guitarist Harald Barrett. Initially, the band started developing their sound and identity during this period. They settled on the name 'Imminence' in 2010, marking the official beginning of the band's journey. 2012

Full Lineup and Debut EP Release

In 2012, Imminence expanded their lineup with the addition of lead guitarist Alex Arnoldsson and drummer Peter Hanström. This solidification of members brought stability to the band. Released on 3 March 2023, the deluxe version included new singles, as well as live and acoustic recordings, offering fans expanded content and showcasing the band's live performance energy and acoustic versatility. Later in the year, new singles including 'Come Hell or High Water', 'Desolation', and 'Heaven Shall Burn' were released, continuing to build momentum for their forthcoming projects.
2024

Release of 'The Black' Album and Anniversary Re-recording

In 2024, Imminence released several singles like 'Death by a Thousand Cuts' and 'Continuum' leading up to their fifth studio album titled 'The Black', which was self-released on 12 April 2024. The release was supported by a European tour, during which the band also announced a North American tour for the following year. Additionally, they marked the 10th anniversary of their debut album 'I' with a re-recorded edition called 'The Reclamation of I' released on 20 December 2024, revisiting and revitalizing their original work for long-time fans and new listeners alike.
2024-2025

Upcoming North American Tour and Extended Edition of 'The Black'

Ahead of their North American tour taking place in 2025, Imminence released singles 'Death Shall Have No Dominion' and 'God Fearing Man'. They announced an extended edition of 'The Black' titled 'The Return of the Black', which released on 7 March 2025. This edition included re-recordings of earlier tracks and featured collaborations with several guest artists. Imminence, the Swedish metalcore quintet hailing from Trelleborg, has steadily risen through the ranks since their formation. The band`s lineup features vocalist Eddie Berg, rhythm guitarist Harald Barrett, lead guitarist Alex Arnoldsson, bassist Christian Höijer, and drummer Peter Hanström.

Early Days and EP Success (2009-2013):

Barrett and Berg laid the groundwork in 2009, solidifying the name "Imminence" in 2010. Arnoldsson and Hanström joined the fold in 2012, completing the core lineup.
