Formation of Hot Milk in Manchester

Hot Milk was founded in Manchester, England, in 2018 by singer/guitarists Hannah "Han" Mee and Jim Shaw. Both were previously involved in various local bands and the Manchester music scene. The duo met via Tinder and started writing music together while coping with personal loss. They composed their first song, "Take Your Jacket," in January 2018. After writing several songs, they secured management and recruited bassist Tom Paton and drummer Harry Deller from the local scene. The band name Hot Milk was chosen for its short, catchy, and somewhat oxymoronic character.
