2014

Formation of Landmvrks and early lineup changes

Landmvrks, originally called 'Coldsight,' was formed in Marseille, France in 2014 by Florent Salfati and Nicolas Soriano. Florent Salfati initially intended to be the guitarist but became the lead vocalist after failing to find a suitable frontman. By then, Rudy Purkart and Thomas Lebreton had joined as bassist and guitarist respectively. Nicolas Exposito later joined as the second guitarist and the band changed its name to 'Landmarks,' which evolved into 'Landmvrks'.
2015

Early performances and rebranding

In 2015, Landmvrks performed at the Deadbolt Festival in Manchester, UK, marking one of their early international appearances. Shortly after, the band altered the spelling of their name from 'Landmarks' to 'Landmvrks,' establishing the stylistic form they maintain today. This period was crucial in solidifying their identity and preparing for their subsequent releases.
2016

Release of debut album 'Hollow' and Hellfest performance

Landmvrks released their self-produced debut album 'Hollow' on May 10, 2016. This album showcased their metalcore style and drew inspiration from bands such as Hundredth and Architects. Also in 2016, Landmvrks performed at the prestigious French Hellfest for the first time, a significant milestone for the band. This live performance was recorded and later released as a live EP titled 'Live at Hellfest,' expanding their exposure in the metalcore scene.
2018

Signing with Arising Empire and release of 'Fantasy'

In 2018, Landmvrks signed to the German label Arising Empire, which elevated their professional profile. On May 2, 2018, they released their second studio album, 'Fantasy,' under this label. The album displayed a blend of metalcore with noticeable influences from nu metal bands like Bring Me the Horizon and Architects. This release helped the band gain a wider audience and deeper recognition within the metalcore community.
2019

Lineup change and extensive touring

In January 2019, founding drummer Nicolas Soriano left Landmvrks, with Kévin D'Agostino stepping in as his replacement. That year, the band toured Europe alongside Any Given Day and expanded to Japan as openers for Polaris. Although a European tour was planned for 2020, it was postponed due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. This period showcased their growing international presence and their adaptability amid lineup shifts and global challenges.
2021

Release of 'Lost in the Waves' album and chart success

In March 2022, Landmvrks released a deluxe edition of 'Lost in the Waves,' titled 'The Complete Edition,' featuring new tracks and live versions of existing songs. The new material included collaborations with artists such as Anthony Dijorio of Stray From The Path and Bertrand Poncet of Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!. Story of LANDMVRKS

Hailing from Marseille, France, LANDMVRKS (pronounced "Landmarks") is a metalcore powerhouse formed in 2014. Initially known as Coldsight, the band`s evolution began with Florent Salfati and Nicolas Soriano. Salfati, originally intended as guitarist, unexpectedly became the vocalist after a fruitless search for a lead singer. He was concurrently the vocalist for Hate in Front. The lineup solidified with the addition of bassist Rudy Purkart and guitarist Thomas Lebreton. Nicolas Exposito joined as second guitarist, and the band rebranded as Landmarks, later stylized as LANDMVRKS.

Their rise was rapid. A 2015 appearance at Manchester`s Deadbolt Festival showcased their burgeoning talent. Following the release of several early singles, their self-produced debut album, Hollow, dropped on May 10, 2016, marking a significant milestone. That same year, they made their Hellfest debut, solidifying their position in the European metalcore scene. Now signed to Arising Empire, LANDMVRKS have gone on to release four studio albums, cementing their status as a leading force in the genre.
