2016

Formation of Anxious in Darien, Connecticut

The emo band Anxious was formed in 2016 in Darien, Connecticut by Grady Allen (vocals and guitar), Sam Walter (vocals and bass), and Michelle Siegel (drums). This marked the beginning of the band's journey, establishing their foundation in the American emo music scene.
2017

Drummer Change and Release of Debut EP 'Carved'

In 2017, Michelle Siegel left Anxious and was replaced by Dante Melucci on drums. That same year, the band independently recorded and released their debut EP titled 'Carved'. This was a significant step, introducing their music to a broader audience and showcasing their emo style early in their career.
2019

Expansion and Label Signing; Multiple EP Releases

In 2019, Anxious expanded by adding lead guitarist Ryan Savitsky and signed with Triple-B Records. They released two EPs: 'Promo 2019' and 'Never Better'. During this period, band roles shifted: Grady Allen stopped playing guitar, Dante Melucci switched from drums to lead guitar and backing vocals, Jonny Camner joined on drums, and after Sam Walter's departure, Sam Allen became the bassist and backing vocalist. These changes helped evolve the band's sound and lineup.
2021

New Music and Label Compilation Contribution

Anxious released the single 'New Shapes' in 2021, the first with their updated lineup. They also contributed the song 'The Long Spring' to Triple-B Records' compilation album, 'America's Hardcore Volume Five'. This period marked the band's increasing presence in the emo and hardcore scenes through fresh releases and collaborations.
2022

Signing with Run for Cover Records and Debut Album Release

In 2022, Anxious signed with Run for Cover Records, which marked a major milestone in their career. They released their debut full-length album, 'Little Green House', which received positive critical acclaim, including being named Album of the Week by Stereogum. Shortly after, Ryan Savitsky departed and was replaced by Tommy Harte on rhythm guitar and backing vocals. They also released singles 'Sunsign' and 'Where You Been?', with Melucci contributing lead vocals on 'Sunsign'.

In September 2023, Anxious released the single 'Down, Down'.
