Story of A Day To Remember

A Day to Remember (ADTR), the trailblazing American rock outfit, was forged in Ocala, Florida, in 2003 by the synergy of guitarist Tom Denney and drummer Bobby Scruggs. Renowned for their pioneering, genre-bending sound, they seamlessly fuse the brutal intensity of metalcore breakdowns with the irresistible catchiness and melodic hooks of pop-punk, carving a unique niche in the heavy music landscape. The band`s current, powerhouse lineup features the dynamic vocals of frontman Jeremy McKinnon, the driving rhythm guitar of Neil Westfall, the relentless precision of percussionist Alex Shelnutt, and the searing lead guitar work of Kevin Skaff.

ADTR`s journey began with Indianola Records, unleashing their ferocious debut album, And Their Name Was Treason, in 2005. A pivotal lineup change saw Alex Shelnutt taking over drum duties from Scruggs in 2006. Later that year, the band inked a significant deal with Victory Records, under which they dropped their acclaimed sophomore effort, For Those Who Have Heart, in 2007, further solidifying their signature sound. Through relentless touring across the UK and U.S., dominating major festival stages and cultivating a fervent global fanbase, they propelled themselves towards the release of their monumental album, Homesick, in 2009. During the extensive Homesick touring cycle, founding guitarist Tom Denney was replaced by the skilled Kevin Skaff. The band swiftly followed up with What Separates Me from You in 2010, embarking on a massive worldwide promotional tour that cemented their international acclaim.

Since 2011, A Day to Remember has been embroiled in a high-stakes legal battle with Victory Records concerning their recording contract. In a significant win for artistic independence, the band secured the right in October 2013 to self-release new material, pending a final verdict in the ongoing dispute.
