Infected Rain, the formidable Moldovan modern metal powerhouse, exploded onto the global scene after their formation in 2008 in Chișinău. Now a cornerstone act on the renowned Napalm Records roster, theyve cemented their status as one of heavy metals most captivating and dynamic forces.

== History == The genesis of Infected Rain took shape in 2008, forged by the distinct talents of guitarist Vadim "Vidick" Ojog, the charismatic lead vocalist Elena Cataraga—universally known as Lena Scissorhands for her iconic stage presence and powerful delivery—and the pioneering DJ Ivan Kristioglo, aka DJ Kapa. This unique lineup laid the foundation for their genre-defying sound.

Their live baptism of fire came swiftly in August 2008, making a thunderous debut at a concert dedicated to the legendary thrash titans, Slayer – an auspicious start for any burgeoning metal act. Later that same month, Infected Rain continued their ascent, tearing through the Red Alert heavy metal festival in Crimea. This intense early period culminated in the recording of their pivotal three-track demo CD, featuring raw renditions of future fan favorites: "With Me," "Parasite," and "No Idols." Simultaneously, they embarked on a series of blistering club shows across Chișinău and Ukraine, rapidly building their foundational fan base.

Infected Rains relentless drive saw them dominate the regional festival circuit in their nascent years. Beyond their impactful appearance at Red Alert 2008, they left their mark at prestigious events like Metal Heads Mission 2009, RockHausen in both 2008 and 2009, and the raucous Fuckin`FuckFest 3. A significant milestone arrived at Big Up! Urban Fest 2009, where their electrifying performance earned them first place, a clear indicator of their burgeoning appeal and formidable stage presence. They further solidified their live prowess at Forest Kap 2009/2010, establishing a reputation as an undeniable live force.
