Story of Framing Hanley

Emerging from the vibrant Nashville, Tennessee rock scene in 2005, Framing Hanley quickly established themselves as a formidable force in American rock. This dynamic quintet burst onto the scene, officially unleashing their debut studio album, The Moment, in August 2007. Their signature sound, often lauded by critics like AllMusic, masterfully blends "emo-tinged modern rock" with raw energy, captivating a dedicated fanbase from the outset.

The roots of Framing Hanley trace back to 2005 when five talented musicians converged to ignite what would become a rock powerhouse. Kenneth Nixon (lead singer & compelling songwriter), flanked by guitarists Tim Huskinson and Brandon Wooten, with the solid rhythm section of bassist Luke McDuffee and drummer Chris Vest, rapidly cultivated a massive following within their burgeoning Nashville hometown. Initially performing under the moniker Embers Fade, the band shrewdly leveraged the burgeoning digital landscape, uploading raw, powerful song demos to their Myspace page. It was during this formative period that their sound began to crystallize, with AllMusic noting their early style as an electrifying "blend of post-grunge and stylish hard rock" – a potent precursor to their refined modern rock assault.

The bands trajectory shifted dramatically in November 2006. Their promising **Myspace demos** caught the ear of **Brett Hestla**, a respected figure known for his work as former **Creed bassist** and **Dark New Day frontman**. Recognizing their undeniable potential, Hestla brought the young Nashville quintet to his Florida studio, producing a blistering two-song demo that would prove to be their golden ticket. This crucial demo found its way to **Jeff Hanson**, a legendary A&R executive with an impressive track record, having worked with rock giants like **Creed, Sevendust,** and **Paramore**. Hanson, at the helm of **Silent Majority Group**, vividly recounted to HitQuarters how he "flipped out" upon hearing the anthemic track **"Hear Me Now."** He knew instantly that he had to sign them. In a legendary display of industry urgency, Hanson reportedly rushed to Nashville the very next day to witness the bands live prowess, securing their signatures on a now-famous napkin deal – a testament to the raw, undeniable talent of Framing Hanley and the instant conviction of their future.
