Chthonic (閃靈)

Formed in Taiwan and active since 1995, Chthonic is a pioneering Taiwanese death metal band that has carved out a unique space in the global extreme music landscape. The band is renowned for a complex and diverse musical style that spans melodic death metal, black metal, symphonic metal, and folk metal, while also incorporating elements of Taiwanese indie, Chinese rock, Chinese indie, and even Taiwanese pop.
