Berried Alive

Emerging from the United States in 2012, Berried Alive has carved out a fiercely distinctive niche within contemporary heavy music, bridging the punishing boundaries of djent, progressive metal, and deathcore. Known for a hyper-kinetic fusion of blistering technicality and vibrant experimentation, the project defies easy categorization. Through dizzying fretwork, crushingly low-tuned polyrhythms, and playful electronic textures, Berried Alive injects an unconventional burst of sonic color and irreverent energy into genres traditionally defined by relentless gloom and grit.

The act first cemented its recorded footprint with the 2016 full-length Soul Sucker, immediately establishing a benchmark for intricate phrasing, jaw-dropping lead work, and crushing breakdowns. Subsequent releases, such as Fools Gold in 2017 and Bearies Alive in 2018, leaned further into this boundary-pushing territory, seamlessly blending modern metalcore dynamics with electronic flourishes and infectious pop sensibilities. This momentum carried strongly into the next decade with the aggressive sonic experimentation of 2020s Fuego and the genre-blending virtuosity displayed across 2021s The Mixgrape, reinforcing the band`s reputation as a prolific force in progressive metal.

Over a decade into their career, Berried Alive has built an ardent international following, amassing well over 125,000 followers on streaming platforms such as Spotify. By subverting conventional metal tropes through tongue-in-cheek fruit-themed aesthetics, audacious genre fusion, and world-class instrumental prowess, the project remains an essential and highly idiosyncratic presence in the modern heavy music landscape.
