Currents

Currents 是一支来自康涅狄格州纽敦的金属核五人组，由鼓手 Jeff Brown 于 2011 年创立。虽然乐团阵容经历了巨大变动——自 2018 年起已无创始成员留任——但目前的阵容包括主唱 Brian Wille、吉他手 Ryan Castaldi 和 Chris Wiseman（他也是 Shadow of Intent 的创始吉他手）、贝斯手兼和声 Christian Pulgarin 以及鼓手 Matt Young。

他们的音乐旅程始于 2013 年 1 月独立发行的 EP Victimized。两年后，他们推出了 EP Life // Lost，其中邀请了 This or the Apocalypse 乐团的 Ricky Armellino 友情客串。2017 年 3 月迎来了转折点，Currents 与 SharpTone Records 签约。随后，他们于 2017 年 6 月发行了首张全长专辑 The Place I Feel Safest，并于 2018 年 5 月推出了该专辑的纯乐器版。SharpTone 还在 2018 年 12 月发行了他们的 EP I Let the Devil In（同样包含纯乐器版本）。2020 年 6 月，他们备受好评的第二张专辑 The Way It Ends 通过 SharpTone 发行，巩固了他们在金属核领域的地位。
