Rock Fest 2026: 10 Bands You Can't Miss

By Palances Liao

Rock Fest returns to Cadott, Wisconsin, July 16–18, 2026, and the field is stacked: 50 bands across the weekend. If you've ever stood between two stages trying to decide who to see, you already know the hard part isn't the music. It's the schedule.

So we did the triage. These are ten acts on this year's bill worth building your weekend around: the headliners everyone's there for, a couple of names heating up on The Band Index as the festival approaches, and the heavier, lesser-known bands that tend to steal a weekend if you show up early. Here's who not to miss, and why.

How we built this list

This isn't the promoter's billing order. We started with the headliners you already came for, then leaned on what's actually moving on The Band Index to surface a couple of acts climbing fast right now, and finished with underground and international picks our community follows that most festival guides skip. Two of the ten — The Pretty Reckless and Guilt Trip — are sitting in the top five most-trending bands across the entire site as of this week, festival or not. The rest are a curated mix, not a popularity contest.

The 10

1. Limp Bizkit — Nu Metal, USA

The reason a lot of people bought the ticket. Nu-metal's most divisive, most quotable headliner, and live they lean all the way into it. If you came to Rock Fest for one set, it's probably this one.

2. Gojira — Progressive Metal, France

The most technically punishing band on the bill: French metal that turns precision into sheer physical weight. Catch them even if metal isn't your usual lane, because the live show tends to convert people who wandered in by accident.

3. The Offspring — Punk Rock, USA

Decades of singles you already know every word to. A palate-cleanser between the heavy sets and a guaranteed full-field singalong.

4. Halestorm — Hard Rock, USA

Lzzy Hale is one of the best front-people in modern rock, full stop. A high-energy hard-rock set that plays equally well to a casual crowd and a pit full of diehards.

5. The Pretty Reckless — Alternative Rock, USA

Buzzing on TBI. Taylor Momsen's New York rock outfit, and right now they're the single most-trending name on this lineup: the third most-followed band across all of The Band Index this week, festival or not. Four albums deep and built for a big stage. If you only know the singles, the full set is the argument.

6. Body Count — Crossover Thrash, USA

Ice-T's metal band, and it's heavier and a lot funnier than people expect walking in. One of the weekend's genuine wild cards.

7. Lacuna Coil — Gothic Metal, Italy

Italy's long-running gothic-metal mainstay and one of the few non-US acts high on the bill. Dual male-female vocals and big choruses, with a texture that stands apart from everything around it.

8. Guilt Trip — Metalcore, UK

Buzzing on TBI · underground pick. The Manchester crossover-thrash crew is the find of this lineup. They blend thrash riffs with hardcore breakdowns, they signed to Roadrunner in 2025, and they've climbed into the top five trending bands on The Band Index right now. An early-slot UK band most of the field will sleep on. Don't.

9. Autumn Kings — Alternative Rock, Canada

Underground pick. A Canadian alt-rock act flying well under the radar of a lineup this size. Exactly the kind of early-slot band worth getting through the gates for before the main stages fill up.

10. dogma — Uruguay

Underground pick. One of the most unexpected names on the bill: a band from Uruguay, rare for a US festival this size. If you want a story to tell, this is the set almost no one else in the field will see.

Build your Rock Fest schedule

Knowing who to see is half of it. The other half is not missing them because two of your bands clash at 8pm on opposite ends of the grounds.

Build your Rock Fest 2026 schedule on The Band Index: add the bands you care about, see set-time conflicts before they happen, and share your lineup with whoever you're going with. It's free, it takes two minutes, and you can remix what other fans are already planning.

Lineups shift, set times move, and the underground picks have a way of becoming next year's headliners. We'll keep this updated as Rock Fest 2026 gets closer, and we'll be back after the weekend with the sets that actually landed.

See you in the field.
