The Replacements

Formed in the United States in 1979, The Replacements emerged as one of the defining voices of the American alternative rock and college rock underground. Initially carving out their identity within the ferocious energy of hardcore punk and post-punk, the group quickly distinguished themselves through their ragged charm, reckless live reputation, and undeniable songwriting prowess.
