Formation and Early Splits

My Fictions, an American post-hardcore band from Lowell, Massachusetts, began their journey in the music scene around 2010. Their earliest recorded work includes a split release with the band Aviator, which came out independently without a label. This initial effort marked the start of their collaborative and self-driven approach to music creation, giving them ground to build a dedicated fan base within the post-hardcore community.

2011

Release of Early EPs and Establishing Their Sound

In 2011, My Fictions released their first EP titled 'I Want Nothing' on Flannel Gurl Records. This release was significant as it showcased their post-hardcore style and helped establish their presence in the underground music scene. Additionally, they independently released another EP called 'Merrill & The Lucinda' the same year, further expanding their discography and experimenting with their sound. 2012

Signing with Topshelf Records and New EP Release

Additionally, they were involved in a split with the band Dreamwell released on Tor Johnson Records. These releases indicated a reinvigoration of the band’s activity and a renewed engagement with the post-hardcore music community, potentially attracting both longtime fans and new listeners.

Story of My Fictions

Hailing from Lowell, Massachusetts, My Fictions exploded onto the post-hardcore scene. Their journey began in 2011 with the I Want Nothing EP, released on Flannel Gurl Records. Quickly gaining traction, they signed with Topshelf Records in 2012, dropping the Always Trapped EP that same year.
