Hailing from the gritty rock scene of Louisville, Kentucky, Flaw emerged in 1996 as a prominent force in American nu metal. Founded by visionary guitarist Jason Daunt, Flaw quickly carved out a reputation with their aggressive yet melodic sound. After years honing their craft through a series of raw, independent recordings throughout the late 1990s, the band caught the attention of major labels, ultimately signing with Republic Records and Universal Music Group. This pivotal deal led to their critically acclaimed major label debut, Through the Eyes, released in 2001, followed by the equally impactful Endangered Species in 2004.

Despite their initial success, Flaws journey was marked by significant turbulence. The latter half of the decade saw the band grapple with internal strife, frequent lineup changes, and hiatuses that tested their resolve. However, the resilient **nu metal** act staged a powerful resurgence between **2015** and **2017**, with three core members reuniting to embark on tours and craft new material. This period ushered in a prolific new era, delivering their third studio album, *Divided We Fall*, in **2016**, and the hard-hitting *Vol IV: Because of the Brave* in **2019**. Their creative output continued with *Revival*, a compelling album of cover songs, unleashed in **2022**. Throughout Flaws often shifting personnel, powerhouse lead vocalist Chris Volz has remained the band`s sole constant and undeniable frontman, a testament to his enduring dedication.

The genesis of Flaw began in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1996, when guitarist Jason Daunt – determined to find the perfect voice for his burgeoning project – placed an ad in a local paper. Fate intervened when future frontman Chris Volz answered the call. Their initial meeting proved instantly electric; Volz arrived armed with a raw demo tape showcasing his distinctive vocal prowess. The chemistry was undeniable, sparking an immediate songwriting session that very night. This intense collaborative energy led to the swift completion of their very first track, the foundational "Inner Strength," within just 24 hours, cementing the core of Flaw`s sound and future trajectory.
