Since their formation in 2019, Dead Amsterdam has rapidly emerged as an undeniable powerhouse in the Upper Midwest music scene. Their signature sound—a masterclass in raw yet sophisticated rock—fuses thunderous bass lines, searing guitar solos, and driving percussion with soulful, blues-drenched vocals. Drawing inspiration from heavyweights like Clutch, Stone Temple Pilots, Jimi Hendrix, and Pantera, the band seamlessly bridges the gap between classic rock-and-roll grit and modern sonic edge.

The band recently captured this high-octane energy on their latest EP, recorded at the prestigious Drum Farm Studios in Menomonie, Wisconsin. The release is spearheaded by two explosive debut singles, "Supernova" and "Chicago!"—offering a thrilling preview of the heavy-hitting tracks yet to come.

Originally a formidable four-piece consisting of Joel Griffis (vocals), Shane Loken (bass), Levi Riness (drums), and Jason Barum (lead guitar), Dead Amsterdam has officially leveled up. With the addition of Jordan Arquillo on rhythm guitar, they have transformed into a relentless five-piece unit. Fueled by a revitalized creative synergy and a wealth of new music on the horizon, the Dead Amsterdam experience is only just beginning.
