The Daisy Chain 的成立與早期生涯

The Daisy Chain 是一支於 1960 年代在加州富勒頓（Fullerton）成立的美國全女子車庫搖滾與迷幻搖滾樂團。樂團成員包括主唱 Michelle "Shele" Pinizzotto、風琴手 Camille Orosco、貝斯手 Rosemary Butler 以及鼓手 Dee Dee Lea。團員們先前曾在一支名為 Ladybirds 的高中樂團中演出。樂團的名字象徵著她們對團結的渴望，並反映了當時迷幻的「花之力量」（flower power）時代背景。

專輯《Straight or Lame》的發行與全國巡迴演出

1967 年底，The Daisy Chain 在 United International Records 旗下發行了她們的專輯《Straight or Lame》。這張專輯反映了當時的車庫搖滾與迷幻聲響，並在發行後的前三週內售出超過 5,000 張，展現出強烈的初期迴響。專輯發行後，樂團展開了全國巡迴演出，足跡遍及美國西南部部分地區、科羅拉多州和伊利諾州。儘管取得了初步的成功，樂團仍於 1968 年初結束巡演後不久宣告解散。

在 The Daisy Chain 解散後，成員 Michelle Pinizzotto 和 Rosemary Butler 與 Olivia Favela 及 Sherry Hagler 共同組成了新樂團 Birtha。Birtha 在 1970 年代初期獲得了相對更大的商業成功，不僅與主流廠牌 ABC-Dunhill 簽約，並在 1975 年解散前發行了兩張專輯和數張單曲。隨著時間推移，The Daisy Chain 的音樂逐漸受到車庫搖滾和迷幻音樂愛好者的認可，其專輯於 2005 年的重新發行更是其中的一大亮點。
