Sinner

Formed in Germany in 1980, Sinner stands as one of the enduring pillars of the European heavy metal movement. Across more than four decades of continuous activity, the group has carved out a distinct identity by bridging classic heavy metal with the blistering tempos of speed metal, the melodic grandeur of power metal, and the hook-laden sensibility of hard rock and AOR. Known for their twin-guitar harmonies, driving rhythm section, and anthemic songwriting, the band helped establish the sonic blueprint for the burgeoning German melodic metal scene.

The band established their reputation during a remarkably prolific streak in the early to mid-1980s. Following the raw energy of their 1982 debut, Wild n Evil, and its 1983 successor, Fast Decision, Sinner adopted a more refined, heavier approach. This evolution culminated in a series of landmark releases, including Danger Zone in 1984, the widely celebrated breakthrough Touch of Sin in 1985, and 1986s Comin Out Fighting. These albums captured the quintessential mid-eighties metal spirit, balancing gritty riffs with radio-ready choruses and dynamic musicianship.

Over the decades, Sinner has retained a loyal international following and widespread respect among peers and metal historians. While navigating shifting musical landscapes, the band has consistently delivered high-octane releases without abandoning their traditional heavy rock roots. Their extensive back catalog and remarkable longevity cement Sinner as an essential and resilient force in German hard rock and heavy metal history.
