2014

Formation of Slaughter to Prevail

Slaughter to Prevail was formed in 2014 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The original lineup included Alex Terrible (lead vocals), who had gained online recognition for his vocal covers, and Jack Simmons (lead guitar) from London-based deathcore act Acrania. Early members also included Maxim Zadorin (guitar), Anton Poddyachy (drums), Slava Antonenko (guitar), and Filipp Kucheryavyh (bass). Several members had previously played in the band We Are Obscurity. The band began developing their signature deathcore sound and establishing a cult following.
2015

Release of EP 'Chapters of Misery'

Slaughter to Prevail released their debut EP titled 'Chapters of Misery' in 2015. The EP generated underground success and helped the band gain recognition within the deathcore community. Their intense, brutal style and Alex Terrible's distinctive guttural vocals began to attract international attention. This release laid the foundation for their future record deals and touring opportunities.
2016

Signing to Sumerian Records and Summer Slaughter Tour Announcement

In 2016, following the success of 'Chapters of Misery', Slaughter to Prevail signed with the prominent American record label Sumerian Records. The EP was re-released under this label with a new track titled 'As the Vultures Circle'. That same year, the band was announced to join the Summer Slaughter tour alongside established acts like Cannibal Corpse. The lineup saw changes with the departure of guitarist Dimitry Mamedov and later bassist Filipp Kucheryavyh, leading to new members joining.
2017

Release of Debut Album 'Misery Sermon' and Touring Challenges

Slaughter to Prevail released their first full-length studio album 'Misery Sermon' in 2017, an album inspired by themes of hate and misery within themselves and society. The intense and aggressive music solidified their reputation in the deathcore scene. The band was invited to join the Summer Slaughter tour and Suicide Silence's 10th anniversary tour but faced visa issues related to the American visa freeze for Russians, preventing them from performing in the USA and Canada. Jack Simmons began a hiatus from touring but remained a studio member, with Jared Delgado filling in for live performances.
2018

Lineup Changes and Tour with Whitechapel

In 2018, significant lineup changes occurred. Original drummer Anton Poddyachy left and was replaced by Evgeny Novikov. Jared Delgado was replaced by Robert Brown on guitar for live shows. The band was invited by Whitechapel to join their 'Ten Years of Exile' tour with Chelsea Grin and Oceano, expanding their touring presence. These changes helped stabilize the band and expand their reach within the deathcore community.
2019

Popular Singles and Growing Popularity

Slaughter to Prevail released the single 'Agony' in 2019 which helped them gain further recognition. The band continued developing their brutal sound and showcased their technical proficiency and Alex Terrible's renowned vocal style. The band maintained momentum leading up to their next album by releasing singles and performing live, cementing their status in the international deathcore scene.

Release and Acclaim of 'Demolisher' Single

Hailing from Yekaterinburg, Russia, and now based in Orlando, Florida, Slaughter to Prevail are a deathcore powerhouse. The band's journey began with vocalist Alex Terrible, whose YouTube vocal covers cultivated a dedicated online following, and guitarist Jack Simmons, formerly of UK deathcore act Acrania. Their initial lineup also included former members of the Russian deathcore band We Are Obscurity.

Launching with the Chapters of Misery EP in 2015, Slaughter to Prevail quickly followed up with their debut full-length, Misery Sermon, in 2017, and the critically acclaimed Kostolom in 2021.
