Following a period of change, Evanescence regrouped in 2009 with a new lineup: Terry Balsamo (guitar), Troy McLawhorn (guitar), Tim McCord (bass) and Will Hunt (drums). This re-energized lineup unleashed their self-titled third album, Evanescence, in 2011. This marked a turning point as the band collaborated on the songwriting for the first time, resulting in a record that reflected their collective creative vision.
