2016

Debut Album ', Dies' and Rising Recognition

Gouge Away released their debut full-length album titled ', Dies' on February 13, 2016, through Eighty-Sixed Records. The album received underground acclaim and was noted for its staunch political lyrics addressing issues such as animal testing, police brutality, and social injustice. This release helped the band gain significant attention in the hardcore scene. Following the album's release, they toured extensively, including tours with notable bands like Touché Amoré, Ceremony, G.L.O.S.S., and Paint It Black. The album was ranked number 17 in BrooklynVegan's 'The 20 Best Emo/Punk Albums of 2016' and was recognized by Vice's Noisey blog as one of the '37 Best Overlooked Albums of 2016'.

2017

Single 'Swallow' and Touring Expansion

In April 2017, Gouge Away released the single 'Swallow' with the B-side 'Sweat' on Secret Voice Records, an imprint of Deathwish Inc. This release was pivotal in defining the band's evolving identity. During this year, the band toured the U.S. supporting Touché Amoré and Single Mothers from September to October, which helped expand their fan base and solidify their reputation in the punk and hardcore community.

2018

Signing with Deathwish and Release of 'Burnt Sugar'

March 2018 marked a significant milestone when Gouge Away signed with Deathwish Inc., a respected label in the hardcore and punk scene. The signing came after the label's co-founder witnessed an impressive live performance by the band. On September 28, 2018, Gouge Away released their second studio album, 'Burnt Sugar', co-produced by Jeremy Bolm of Touché Amoré and mixed by Jack Shirley. The album showcased a more dynamic sound and received positive reviews. The band promoted the album with music videos for the tracks 'Only Friend' and 'Ghost'. To support 'Burnt Sugar', Gouge Away toured the United States and Europe with Culture Abuse in late 2018 and later toured with Drug Church, enhancing their international presence and musical impact.

2020

Single Release and Continued Activity

In 2020, Gouge Away released the single 'Consider' backed with a cover of 'Wave of Mutilation' through Deathwish Records. This release demonstrated the band's continued creativity and relevance in the hardcore punk scene. Release of 'Deep Sage' and Latest Work
