Signing with Deathwish and Release of 'Burnt Sugar'

The signing came after the label's co-founder witnessed an impressive live performance by the band. On September 28, 2018, Gouge Away released their second studio album, 'Burnt Sugar', co-produced by Jeremy Bolm of Touché Amoré and mixed by Jack Shirley. The album showcased a more dynamic sound and received positive reviews. The band promoted the album with music videos for the tracks 'Only Friend' and 'Ghost'. To support 'Burnt Sugar', Gouge Away toured the United States and Europe with Culture Abuse in late 2018 and later toured with Drug Church, enhancing their international presence and musical impact.
