2018

Formation and Debut EP Release

Brand of Sacrifice was formed in 2018 in Toronto, Canada, emerging from the dissolution of the band The Afterimage. The founding members Kyle Anderson, Michael Leo Valeri, Liam Beeson, Dallas Bricker, and Rob Zalischi began Brand of Sacrifice inspired by the manga Berserk by Kentaro Miura, influencing much of their thematic concept. In the same year, they released their debut EP titled "The Interstice," which marked their entry into the deathcore scene, establishing their sound blending heavy metal with technical musicianship.

2019

First Full-Length Album 'God Hand' Released

In 2019, Brand of Sacrifice released their first full-length album entitled 'God Hand.' This album solidified their presence in the deathcore genre, showcasing an evolution from their debut EP with more refined compositional structure and aggressive soundscapes. The release received attention from fans and critics alike, positioning the band as a promising act on the Canadian metal scene. They continued to build their reputation with touring and live performances following the album's release.

2020

Line-up Changes Amidst Continued Releases

The year 2020 saw changes in Brand of Sacrifice's drummer position, with Rob Zalischi departing and James Knoerl stepping in. New EP and Line-up Updates

In April 2023, Brand of Sacrifice released their second EP titled 'Between Death and Dreams,' containing four tracks that showcased continued growth and experimentation within their sound. This year also saw significant line-up shifts with Andrew Kim and Chason Westmoreland joining as bass player and drummer respectively, while former members Dallas Bricker and Mike Caputo exited. The band also maintained a strong presence through singles like "Dynasty," "Awaken in Ashes" featuring Nik Nocturnal, and "Purge." Their evolving membership and musical direction point to a dynamic future.

Story of Brand of Sacrifice

Brand of Sacrifice, a Toronto-based deathcore band, exploded onto the scene in 2018, rising from the ashes of The Afterimage. Founding members Kyle, Michael, Liam, Dallas, and Rob channeled their shared passion for Kentaro Miura's Berserk manga, infusing the dark, epic themes of the series into their brutal, technical sound.

Their debut EP, The Interstice, dropped the same year, laying the groundwork for their full-length debut, God Hand, in 2019. The band solidified their position in the deathcore scene with their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Lifeblood, independently released in 2021.
