2004

Formation and Early Lineup of Blessthefall

Blessthefall was formed in 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona, emerging from high school practice sessions. The founding members were guitarist Mike Frisby, drummer Matt Traynor, and bassist/vocalist Jared Warth, soon joined by lead guitarist Miles Bergsma, keyboardist/vocalist Andrew Barr, and vocalist Craig Mabbitt. Early on Barr shifted to keyboards only and eventually left, with Warth occasionally taking keyboard duties. Bergsma left to attend college and was replaced by Eric Lambert, stabilizing the band's lineup for their initial rise.
2006

Release of Debut Album 'His Last Walk'

Blessthefall released their debut full-length album, 'His Last Walk,' on April 10, 2007, featuring original vocalist Craig Mabbitt. The album marked their entry into the metalcore scene, reaching number 32 on the US Billboard Heatseekers chart. It garnered mixed reviews but achieved respectable sales with over 65,000 copies sold. The band supported the release by extensive touring across North America including high-profile tours and the 2007 Warped Tour, earning early recognition and building a fanbase.
2007

Departure of Original Vocalist Craig Mabbitt

During their first European tour in late 2007, Craig Mabbitt left Blessthefall to spend more time with family and subsequently joined Escape the Fate, replacing Ronnie Radke. Vocal duties for the remainder of their tour were handled by bassist Jared Warth. Mabbitt declined subsequent offers to return to Blessthefall. This departure was a pivotal moment prompting significant changes in the band's lineup and sound moving forward.
2008

Recruitment of Beau Bokan as Lead Vocalist

On September 26, 2008, Blessthefall announced Beau Bokan of Take the Crown as their new lead vocalist and keyboardist. This lineup change revitalized the band and set the stage for their evolution in both style and popularity. Bokan's addition brought a fresh dynamic and vocal ability that would define their subsequent albums, allowing the band to explore new creative directions.
2009

Release of Sophomore Album 'Witness'

Blessthefall released their second studio album 'Witness' on October 6, 2009, under Fearless Records. This was their first album with vocalist Beau Bokan, marking a new era for the band. The album was produced by Elvis Baskette and reflected a maturing sound blending metalcore elements with melodic and thematic depth. Release of Third Album 'Awakening'

On August 20, 2013, Blessthefall released their fourth studio album 'Hollow Bodies,' which received positive critical attention for its intensity and production. Around this time, they officially stylized their band name as BLESSTHEFALL in all caps starting 2013, marking a new chapter. 2015

Release of Fifth Album 'To Those Left Behind'

The band's fifth studio album, 'To Those Left Behind,' was released on September 18, 2015. 2018

Release of Sixth Album 'Hard Feelings' and Lineup Change

'Hard Feelings,' Blessthefall's sixth studio album, came out on March 23, 2018. It featured a sound that balanced aggression with melodic hooks. Following this album and its supporting tours, drummer Matt Traynor departed the band, leaving bassist Jared Warth as the only remaining original member. 2023

Return from Hiatus with New Single 'Wake the Dead'

After a period of inactivity, BLESSTHEFALL returned in May 2023 with the release of 'Wake the Dead,' their first new song in five years. Story of Blessthefall

Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona, blessthefall (stylized as such since 2013) are a metalcore force to be reckoned with. Signed to Rise Records, the band, formed in 2004, initially featured guitarist Mike Frisby, drummer Matt Traynor, and bassist/vocalist Jared Warth. Their debut, His Last Walk, dropped on November 7th, 2006, showcasing the powerful vocals of original frontman Craig Mabbitt.

Mabbitt's departure in 2007 paved the way for his replacement in Escape the Fate, while blessthefall soldiered on. Beau Bokan stepped up as the permanent vocalist in 2008, lending his distinctive voice to their sophomore effort, Witness, released October 6th, 2009. Subsequent albums solidified their status: Awakening (October 4th, 2011), Hollow Bodies (August 20th, 2013), To Those Left Behind (September 18th, 2015), and Hard Feelings (March 23rd, 2018), showcasing their evolution and continued impact on the metalcore scene.
